To Buy or Not To Buy? That’s The Question!
I’ve been pondering and thinking about buying a boat for ages now! I have seen soo many and was going to get a few of them but there is a person stopping me! Before doing anything I talk to my uncle who’s some what of an expert when it comes to boats. Each time I go to him and discuss a specific boat I am looking at he says no and gives me one of the following excuses :
Too Big
Too Expensive
Doesn’t Handle Well
Doesn’t Come With a Slip (Parking)
The Owner Doesn’t Take Care of the Boat
The other day, about 2 weeks ago, I went to see a boat shown below. The boat is a 25 footer manufactured in 2005 and has a small cabin and it comes with 2 Mercury engines, the slip (parking space) that is located along The Gulf Road, and all it’s gear. The issue is the seller wants KD 12,000 and my uncle says it’s too much! I would say that as well but at the same time I feel like it’s worth the purchase!

Why don’t you haggle with him about the price. It seems a bit much.

K the Kuwaiti : I did ask him and he said no! He claims he’s looking and trying to help out but it’s getting close to 2 years now and nothing!
??? : Everyone says it’s a bit much especially since the engines are Mercury! As for haggling I had people try but he won’t budge!

how odd, i went on a boat trip today, hathol ily 9ob jeans grill madry shisma mal markaz 9ul6an. dude, if i had money to burn the first thing i would get is a boat. second hand yachts are pretty decent too, the one we saw, isma alia, costs about 30 grand. i would totally go for one

Extinct Dodo : Yeah yachts are nice but I don’t want one now! I wanna a cruiser! Something I can enjoy recreationally, and if I wanna go fishing I could, making sure maintenance costs are low!

cruisers 3ala goltik are docked in peoples garages right next to their cars, i dont see why “parking” is an issue, and as for size, consider it an extra car in your parking space at home. oo ham ilmaintenance, its not like you’re gonna be out and about in it all day every day, just a good water-down with a hose to minimize rusting and the occasional engine service should do. ana agooool tiwakal 3ala allah and dont forget to invite me to your boat-warming party

If the engine was not used more than a year i would go for it… but three years! … 10 is good.
But compared with the market, its well priced.

Extinct Dodo : I don’t think you know how much of a hassle it is to keep pulling a boat from the house to the pier! It’s a huge hassle! That’s why parking is important! If the boat was under 20 or 15 foot then I might consider it without a parking!

Judy Abbott : I found a 1997 model with 2 yamaha engines but without a parking space that was going for KD 4500 so I think with the parking it’s kind of a good deal!
