Friday
Woke up early to meet a few friends for breakfast! On my way I saw these guys parked on the side of the road and one of them was holding jumper cable! I stopped and he asked if I could help him out! I agreed and drove against traffic to position my car to jump start theirs! A few attempts at jump starting the car and nothing happened! They thanked me for the help and that I should get going. Just as I was going to leave I saw one of them get behind the car and push while the other was steering. I stopped again and used my towing cables to pull their car! They asked me to take them to the garage near by so I agreed! While pulling them along the man started honking so I slowed down. He kept on honking so I stopped slowly! While I was exiting the Land Cruiser I hear a large thump and it was the man’s car crashing into mine! No damage done to the Land Cruiser but the man had a square hole in his front bumper since he hit the tow bar! He asked me to continue towing them till they took the U-turn and I did! While taking the U-turn I heard a snap and when I looked in my rear view mirror the towing cable broke! (It was one of those yellow ones and not the steel ones) Luckily there was enough of a tug to pull their car all the way over to the end of the U-turn! They were greatful and I left them after that!
Got to the breakfast meet up and had fun! The group that day was bigger than what we had before! We sat, ate, talked, and laughed quite a bit! Once 10:15 came around I left them and headed to the gahwa to meet up with Nibaq and we played backgammon for about and hour hen met up with other people in Marina Crescent! While walking in Marina Crescent we were wondering what kind of car was all covered up and had a bid of KD 7,000! So someone picked up the car cover and mentioned it was a Cadillac! We walked through Virgin to see if there was a difference then went to get some Gelato!
I went home to have lunch with the family and then relaxed for a bit before meeting up with 6K for our Friday walk! Once that fun moment was over I did my thing then headed to Purg’s place to pick him up and meet Extinct Dodo and Miss Cosmo at a new restaurant called, “Slider Station”! The place is located across the street from Al-Seif Palace! I loved the way it was designed and really enjoyed the food! Purg on the other hand didn’t like the food! Below are a few pics of the place!

whoa what a busy day, and i thought stopping by the jam3eya was a tedious task! no wonder you’d have an appetite, dropping by all those joints in one day
i thought the food was good too, and yeah i couldnt sleep as well but thats only because loud booming club music + lots of laughs= splitting headache
thank you for a fun night

I liked the place (well the wall
) but i found the conveyor thing very useless. I also didn’t like the fact the place looked like they were trying too hard trying to incorprate some japanese themes, 3ala garage… its like japanese restraunt meets starbucks. 7asait they’re trying too hard to be orginal but misrably failing. Even the food was, “adapted”. One of the potatoes was a lebanese dish, the other chips reminded me of the Kitco sticks in cans, the nachos with the dip thing is sorta mexican. And they weren’t even good.
I MUCH prefer Burger Boutique, the food there is MUCH better. Actually even the “setting” if you may
was much more orginal there.

Maze : 10,000? WOW!
Dishevelled : Interesting review! I actually thought the conveyor belt was a good idea! As for the nachos, they needed something to go with the quesadillas! Wouldn’t you say so?

Marzouq : I know I enjoyed Slider Station despite what others had to say!
As for stopping, I kinda felt bad for him when he rammed into my towing hitch!
