Tamiya

I bumped into a friend at the Auto Show last night and he informed me about how Tamiya (world’s most renowned remote controlled car manufacturer) has a new line of vehicles which have MFU technology (MultiFunction Unit)! Here is an example of a Ford truck with MFU and I sure wish I had one that looked like my Land Cruiser!

While talking about Tamiya, I remembered my old truck that I had in high school! I actually used to race my Dyna Blaster (looked identical to the one below but I had better components) and I actually came in second once amongst other vehicles!

If you would like to check out Tamiya products that range from die cast models to radio controlled models, the store is located in Al-Mothanna Complex on the ground floor!

  • dude, those remote control cars sure bring back good memories :) I remember, one of my cousin’s used to be an avid entusiast of flying his remote controlled model airplanes.

  • Howahkan : I used to race my truck at the old Scientific Club that was located on the 6th ring road and there were many out there who used to fly their RC planes!

  • That is really cool! Holy crap, but making multi function must kill the battery! I had a lot of Tamiyas back in the day, I used to use the broken ones as spare parts and modify them as I go along! Seriously fantastic!

I had a Dyno Blaster too, that is just sweet! Good times!

  • Marzouq : Don’t know about battery life! As for the Blaster, I always wanted to have a Dayna Blaster as well as the Dyna Storm at the same time!
