Gina Loring in Kuwait!

Last week I posted about how a lyricist/songwriter/poet called Gina Loring was coming to Kuwait and performing for the public. Here is a playlist of both the recital at the AWARE Center, and the at the Al-Babtain Library! There were some video clips from the Al-Babtain Library that were too big to upload to YouTube so you won’t be able to see those! Sorry!

  • Eva : If I haven’t welcomed you to my blog before then welcome! As for the lyrics, you won’t find them because Gina hasn’t had her poems published! The CD she has on sale yesterday was the first thing she put out! When it comes to seeing me, then shame on you for not saying HI! :P J/K!

  • Eva : Basement store in Salmiya! Am I right? If I am right that sure was a long time! I need to go back to that store and see what has happened since then! As for the CDs, I knew that they were going to be on sale and so I came prepared!

  • hey there ! i was there too in the library night it was a wonderful night!

  • Deema : Sure was wonderful and entertaining!!

  • yeah, i liked her poem about the little girl, and i liked “ain’t i a woman” which was said by another person before Gina’s.
the way she performs is like playing on a piano, but instead of tones there were word, this is shown when she changes her speed.

but i don’t know you, so a Hi is invalid in my case :P

  • but it also feels like she’s saying some religious praises

  • Deema : Mashallah you still remember the names! I have each poem recorded on video! ;)
