Al-Rubie Alinsan*
We miss our morning brain food
With out it, we will starve
We can’t find it, anywhere
Except in your fair pen’s virtue
Something missing in our life
That nobody can ever replace!
Some others can give us brain food
But yours is different in many ways!
The words are clear, and sincere
Written for every needy man
You teach virtuousness to illiterates
By your polite and humble ways.
You feel with every man, called human.
Related to any sex, faith or race
You are philosopher, thinker
Strong believer in human rights
Your faith is merciful to everyone
In every line written down
You are another kind of Gibran*
Another just invader from the Arab fan
We pray heartily, for your healthy return
To the home, that you came from
You don’t belong to one land, you belong
To humanity, pen circling the earth round.

*** Gibran Khalil (1883 –1931) was a Lebanese-American artist, poet, and writer. Born in Lebanon, as a young man he emigrated with his family to the United States where he studied art and began his literary career. He is chiefly known for his 1923 book The Prophet, a series of philosophical essays written in English prose. An early example of inspirational literature, the book sold well despite a cool critical reception, and became extremely popular in 1960s counterculture.

It is very easy to mutter “we won’t forget him”, and it is likely that we mistakenly believe those words.
In practice, a little over a year has passed since he has left us and he is not one bit less present in my thoughts.
An inspiration is an underestatement to what this man IS (yes, “is”, because he is still alive to me) to me.
Ahmed AlRubie is my sole solid proof that honesty, and sincerity and persistence can take one far.
He is the one I believe the most when he speaks.
He is the one I wanted to be like at 13, and he is who I still want to be like: sincere and with a purpose.
Ahmed AlRubie was my vision of my future self before my eyes.
One may remember him at a specific occasion or for a certain passing event. To me, he is with me every day and evening.
God, I sound like a kid when I’m that open hehe, thank God for anonymity
